q: what does ‘sustainable and green’ mean?
a: we strive to make our event sustainable and green, meaning we want to have a minimum environmental impact and raise consciousness on living daily in such a way. We do this by using fully solar powered stages, sound and lights, recycling, offering water refill for refillable water bottles to reduce plastic bottle waste, feature sustainable vendors, and educating on being sustainable. Sustaining our future through funk!
q: is there a kid’s ticket price?
a: no kid’s ticket price, but kids 10 and under get in free.
a: since our beginning we have worked to raise money for music education in Long Beach. The LBFF founder Bobby Easton is a musician and a teacher and has strived to help support music education through the festival. This year we are once again partnering with local non profit Jazz Angels to raise money for music education. They will also be performing as the Funk Angels this year, so don’t miss them.
